As well as screenings the Southside Film Festival also included a series of events such as workshops, discussions, Q&As with filmmakers and actors and a great selection of guests.

The audience will be asked to vote for their favourite film and the winner will receive the inaugural Best Southside Film Award.
South x Southside: Composing Music for Film Seminar [Friday | 18:30 | suitable for all]
A seminar where the processing and art of composing music for film will be discussed by a panel of Malcolm Lindsay, a composer and musician based in Glasgow, Eleanor Yule an award winning writer and director and Mick Cooke trumpeter, bassist and orchestral arranger for Belle and Sebastian and composing for screen since 2007.
